writes:ok so im 14 and ive been dating this guy for about a week and stuff. im already hearing rumors that he is flirting with other girls and stuff behind my back. I went home sick today and i had like 4 different people tell me that he is telling my bestfriend practically sister that he loves her and is flirting with her. . . im not sure what to do. my question is basically, do i break up with him? or just ignore it? or do I confront him? im not sure. please help!!

reader, anonymous, writes (14 March 2013): Well they say there's no smoke without fire, but also it would be foolish to jump straight in with accusations and no actual proof. I would suggest you just keep monitoring his behaviour when he's around her, don't make it too obvious that you suspect something, but don't turn a blind eye to what is going on around you. Also, make sure these people who told you this are actually people you could class as friends, and not just people who go to the same school as you. Some people will make up anything to ruin something for someone else if they become jealous of what they haven't got, especially teenage girls.
