is anyone else like this or am I obsessive??

My boyfriend of nearly a year sometimes does a 2-10 shift - getting home about 9.45. I find that I have to have him come to bed with me at the same time (i.e. 11pm) otherwise I can't sleep anyway. I probably fall to sleep then wake with a start when i realise he is not in bed. This makes my heart pound cos I wonder what exactly is he up to (i.e. is he masturbating, looking at porn) and I have to get up sneakily to check.

Now when he is on this shift I am at work (I work typical 9-5 pm) and he is at home all on his own until 2 pm. I realise he could be doing those things then but, I don't know it really bothers me when I am there of the thoughts that he might be - but I don't care as much if I am not there.

Anyone else have this problem? I have tried staying up until as late as 12.30 pm but its making me really tired.

Am i just obsessive?

A reader, anonymous, writes (18 June 2008):

Has your boyfriend given you any reason to feel this way or not to trust him?

Why do you think he might be into porn or busy mastrubating?

What is your sex life like, satisfactory?

It might be that you are over reacting or there could be reason for your fears. I don't have enough info to really comment.

Best wishes

Hi to Jay12toes

You hit the nail on the head when you said it's the living in my own head that does it. I can imagine allsorts in my own head and make myself miserable for nothing.

How do I stop myself from doing this?

jay12toes agony auntwhat is your problem exactly? is it the fact that he looks up porn? i think you need to just calm down and get some sleep. it sounds to me like your your own worst enemy, like is everything usally good until your alone and have time to think, and then your mind goes striaght to the bad stuff? because if so you just need to try and stay out of your head or you need to talk with your boyfriend about how you feel so you can get the bad thoughts out of your head.
