Is it considered cheating if you peck a close friend (of the opposite sex) on the lips, if you have been going out with someone for approximately two months? I am driving myself insane thinking that it is. Anyone I ask thinks I'm being silly! Could you please help me out and take this load off my mind. Thanks.

Is this something your boyfriend did and YOU think it's cheating, or is this something YOU did and your boyfriend thinks you were cheating? I don't think it was cheating because it was a close friend. But here is a little story that might help. a week after my bf and i started dating, he turned 21 and went out to the bars with his friends which was fine with me. being the good gf, i dropped them off and picked them up. a few days later, i see on facebook a picture of two girls i dont kno kissing him on the cheeks. i didn't think it was cheating, but was still very angry bc it was kinda disrespectful to me seeing as he never said anything to me about it at all. we had just started dating and it was all over facebook so i was a little embarrassed. the point im getting at is that it all depends. were u or ur bf hurt by it? thats what really matters! good luck!

Polly Russell-Furse agony auntIt all depends. You are obviously feel it isn't or you would not be questioning it. I give my husband a peck on the lips when I'm going off for the day, but should he or I give another person of the opposite sex a peck on the lips then yes, neither of us would like it at all.

However, there are many people who give always kiss the lips of a friend, whether they are attached or not, and this is normal to them. So, is this normal to you and your friends or do you think there is something to it. At the end of the day, it's to do with your feelings for the person you kissed not the actual action! You should be asking yourself, why do you feel you've cheated on your boyfriend when it is obvious your friends do not think this, have you got feelings for this person?

TomWilkinson agony auntOf course it isn't cheating, a kiss on the lips is no more than a kiss on the cheek, unless you want it to be. Don't worry about it any further, you've really done nothing wrong at all

Take care

it really depends on what your partner would class as cheating, its something you really have to speak about because one of you may have a different idea of what cheatig is. I would say a peck on the lips is harmless really, it really depends on how it happened. Dont beat yourself up about it, its not like you slept with someone else. Just think bot how you wud feel if your partner pecked someone on the lips other than yu. I wud say dont worry this time round but dont do it again
