As a matter of principle, it's not wrong to be in love with your cousin. It's not incest. As a matter of praticality, being at your age, it's a different story. The other guys already mentioned it. The best thing you can do is to put your feelings in perspective. Really try to understand what it is about him that attracts you to him. Then try to find those qualities in other guys. It will feel so liberating believe me. Please don't let your feelings chain and torture you.

You should read or rent the movie Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs.

missbunbury agony auntFrom the way you write, and the fact that you still live with your family, I get the impression that you're a young person still in your teens. At that time in life, it's very easy to confuse newly developed feelings of lust for love. Are you sure you're really in love with your cousin? Or might it simply be that he is a guy who you have a deep friendship with as a result of growing up together? A guy who you know very well can seem a good bet for romance, as there's less risk involved for you, but you're selling yourself short by not giving yourself the chance to meet new and exciting guys who might have a lot more to offer and also cause less trouble for you with your family.

Before you and your family move, I would suggest you should throw yourself into dating a few different guys, just to get a bit of self-confidence and reassure yourself that you are attractive and capable when it comes to men. After you move, you need to start thinking about your family. Don't do anything with your cousin unless you've given it a lot of thought - it may be worth losing your family if you're going to marry this guy and spend the rest of your life with him, but if it's just going to fizzle out you'll have paid a very high price. I would say you should do everything you can to stay away from your cousin while you are still living in the family home - if your feelings are real they will still be there when you leave home and become a fully-functioning adult. At that time, you can make a decision. Please don't let your hormones trick you both into turning your back on your own family.

It all depends on what kind of family life you have had with this part of your family..to be honest it could be more hard work and hassle than its worth..
