 i hate problems like this it makes me sick and dissapointed in people. dont do anything unless your willing to lose a best friend over a girl which id advice you not to. for starters if you feel something else for your girls best mate then finish with your girl and dont even attempt to tell your girls best mate because it will alll go horribly wrong. your get over this girl in time with out wrecking your friendship with this mate of yours. and next time you start a ralationship make sure you can actually settle down with out fancying new girls best mate.

I have never fallen in love with a close friend's girlfriend/wife before. I have a very ethical rule: once a female becomes my friend's gf/wife, she automatically becomes my sister. With this in mind, whatever interactions I have with that person is as though I am her brother being silly and/or deep with my sister. She can only get as close as my friend is to me, but the exception is that no matter what scenerio, no matter where we are, what we are doing, my heart is always with my brother. His love is with her.
End of story.
As with your heart not feeling much for your current gf, you might as well break-up with her. There is no point in continuing. There are many other possible opportunities. Dragging on may cause even more pain in the future for your gf.
