reader, anonymous, writes (31 March 2008): with most inserts they may cause changes in your period. There may be nothing to worry about but since you are only 16-17 go to the doctor, or a health clinic and see, that way you catch it early enough to have options!

Talk to your doctor and have him/her do a pregnancy test.
But if it's been a number of months, being pregnant would mean sickness, cramps, growing abdomen size, possible kicking of baby... Anything like that?
In any case you should talk to a doctor.
If you're not pregnant, you might want to be checked for STDs.
