A male China age 41-50, anonymous writes:

hey there! this issue might be silly for you but i am becoming so serious about it; i haven't had a gf sofar in my life , the reason is not because i am no attractive. It is not to brag about, my friends told me i am attractive and also the society have a good impression of me, i am a BA holder and i am financially capable but i am skinny. So i can say that the problem is with my imagination, means i don't have self-confidence and i have a perception that i am not attractive which is aparadox of what the reality is. i define attractiveness in terms of body size, to be attractive one should be muscular or like that; which now i belive is a very silly opinion. but this opinion is making me ashamed of my self and i don't come closer to girls. couldn't skinny guys be loved? this is my question so please let's discuss about it.

Being skinny shouldn't be an issue. You're quite right that it's all in your imagination that you're unattractive. Attractiveness comes from being able to hold a sensible conversation, to interact with other people as well as physical appearance.

I have a very good friend of many years who is 6'6" (2 metres) tall and built like a broom handle, but he's had more pussy than the cats protection league and women seem to fall at his feet. I'm not quite sure what he's got that I haven't, but it could be his outgoing personality and zest for life.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (13 November 2007):

Well if everybody tells you that you are good looking then believe them and stop being so self conscious.

And if you can't help being self conscious no matter what anybody tells you, then do something about it! Start drinking lots of protein shakes, increase your calories everyday, and lift weights, so that when you look in the mirror you can feel more confident.

But if you are not going to stop being self conscious and yet you are not going to do anything about it, then quit complaining. Cause you have plenty of options.
