A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Me and one of my guys friends have been hanging out alot lately. We never really have before and all my friends think it's weird. I fell down the steps at a hotel ( we where there for a trip ) and I had been sitting in the stairwell for a good 15 minutes. Then I heard footsteps and I was scared who it could be and then there he is, carrying me to my room and stuff. I'm 13 he is 14. We have no interest in a sexual relationship or anything. But then 12 minutes later he left and went to the pool. I was alone, and I absolutely hate to be alone so I stood up, my foot was swollen and stuff but I went to the pool and sat on the edge, watching and talking to my friends. I was talking to my best friend who loves my guy friend. So my guyfriend picks me up and dunks me into the water, then next thing I know he's carrying me on his shoulders. My bestfriend won't talk to me. And now I feel weird around my guy friend. And kids are saying I'm going out with this guy but I'm not, but I was almost crying and he gets possessive over me and then telling everyone to shut up.

I am so confused and unsure what to do. Help!

pancakes rule agony auntAt your age a lot of people don't understand that girls and guys can be just friends and it's something which you have to endure and all you can do is assure everyone that that is what you are.

Maybe he likes you a bit, if you think he does you should try to hint that you see him as just a friend.

You can use the fact that you're so close to him to talk your friend up to him and get them to hang out, just the three of you.

good luck

xx

First of all, you're 13 you should be in your room looking for your earing that has been collecting dust behind the dresser. This boy sounds like me when i was 14 so if i were you stay the hell away from him. He has too much confidence and you are liable to fall into his command. Tell him your big brother is in San Quentin for multiple murders and his friends are extremely protective of you. Im sure it felt good that he liked you and played with you, but on day one he already got you on his shoulders. No dice. Only boys you should be dealing with is the science freak who spends his days drawing dinosaurs and playing Wii.

Kama agony auntJust let it play out. You guys are really young. If you're not going out with him, then your not. Don't feel guilty. Your friends should trust you if you are telling them the truth.
