I dated an American girl for 2 and a half years, have spent a lot of time over there and truth be told I just mesh better with American girls. I've since tried dating British girls and it's just not the same. I think it's very much a cultural thing. So I guess in someways my question is two fold. Is this normal? Where realistically can I meet american women possibly online? It's my intention to move there in the next 5 years but still.Thanks Reply to this Question

 Normal? You like certain girls, in what part of the world is that not normal? People can have weird preferences, but preferences are still normal.
The best way to find american women to date I guess is to start talking to american women.

 This is not an answer to your question, in fact, just out of curiosity, I'd like you to answer my question :
what exactly is the difference you see between American girls and locals ? In other words, what makes an American girl " American " in your eyes ?
I'm asking this because ,in MY eyes, it's a rather mixed bag out there. American girls come in all different sizes , shapes and colours - black, white, latino, asian, ...from big and tall to petite and anything in between.America then is a BIG place full of all different cultures and traditions, so everything is true there- and the contrary of everything. Women can be very sexually liberated and aggressive but, at the same time, you find there more people with conservative values ( the importance of virginity, etc. ) that you'd find in Europe. There are many independent,career oriented, financially successful women, in top management positions or entrepreneurs, and at the same time there are tons of homemakers and stay-at-home moms , more than in many European countries ( I guess also because NOT going to work is simply not an option for many Europeans nowadays, alas ). They can dress very shabby- ahem, I meant simple, pardon- jeans and T shirt and no make up 24/7- or they can have wardrobes to put Carrie Bradshaw to shame.
They fill all the width of a spectrum in so many aspects and respects, that I am just curious to know what you find tipically,undelebly American in the girls you like.
The only recurring, common trait I have noticed is that American women tend to have whiny , nasal voices, and I doubt you'd like that ?. (Americant Aunts ! it's a JOKE- I am just joking ! - don't hate me !:))
You see , I have waxed lyrical a few times on DC about how much I love and miss the States, which is true- but to me the charm is precisely the VARIETY, the very fact that every new person you meet is a whole new world of different ideas, costumes, habits etc., I have a hard time to find ONE common denominator.
Sorry I did not help with your answer, I guess anyway that to find Americans online in your country you have to google "expat sites or associations" , where I am there are quite a few , studentsville. com and others. Or, also, Craigslist in the closer city to where you are.

 1) It's not abnormal. It's just a preference.
2) I suppose there are a lot of American women in the UK. Besides, you can meet them on Facebook and assorted dating websites like okcupid etc.
Hope you find your perfect American woman! :-)
