writes: When I was about sixteen, like most people, i got curious about sex and so i started searching the internet for sexual videos. People always talk about how horrible it is for guys to watch porn and i feel like being a girl...its even worse for me to do. I watch it once or twice a week but sometimes go weeks without watching..but then there are those occasional days where i will do it multiple times. There is really no pattern. Is there something wrong with me? Do other girls watch porn? Does this mean i'm a nympho?

It's just not talked about, because it doesn't seem to cause problems in relationships (eg: like the problem many women have with men looking at pornography) and seems to help to improve our sex lives.
Also, many women make not look at pornography, but still enjoy erotic books, magazines and comics. For some reason, we still prefer to get our sexual stimulation through words and texts, and romantic films, rather than hard core nudity.
There's nothing wrong with you, your totally normal.

However, there is a lot of porn out there that is degrading toward women, and most of it is "made" for men to enjoy. My GF worked in an adult gift store for a while (when she was a virgin, ironically), and she is the only girl I've ever been with who has porn. She has 3 DVD's...all are very tasteful with outdoor themes. She almost never watches it, but we will together some times. I believe it is a bond we have in common, and I love her for her open mindedness.
So no, there is nothing abnormal with what you are doing.

 It is not worse for you to do just because you are a girl, though it certainly does not make it it any better. If you can control it, if you have no burning desire or need in your mind to see it and pleasure yourself to it, I see no real problem in what you are doing.
A nymphomaniac craves sex all the time. No you are not a nympho, you are merely a girl who enjoys porn. It is more common than you think. There are many women and girls who enjoy watching porn just as much as boys and men. Still, I would suggest you tread carefully because it is easy to get addicted to such a thing.

Though occasionally i like to look at a picture of a fine male specimen if he is very masculine, even though he's portrayed in a gay men's site. You may or may not have high libido. Only you can decide that. Check out some of the better European porn. There was a time when i especially loved it, but i'm not so into it now. If you check out the old film 'human trafficking' with Donald Sutherland you may get some sense of what an exploitive trade it is and how some of these films are made, My preference is the porn that allows the girl to be in control and really enjoying it. There are also some very good writers of highly erotic fiction (it is nothing like a romance novel, instead it is hot and really erotic) - i can really recommend that - it can push parameters further than a film, but is just between you and the author. So it feels the least exploitive road to me. Some best directors are British but have to work in Europe due to British law. South American, Polish, Russian porn often fail to impress me. USA porn is a bit shallow. Asian porn is often humiliating and the girls too helpless so i dont like it.
