 I don't think its that uncommon really. Your time will most certainly come, don't be in a rush, relax have fun and it will happen when you least expect it.

 dont be depressed because unlike a lot of people that would just wait for it to happen, you have come out and tried to look for help and advice. so get out there and go look for the one lucky girl. good luck hun xx

Its not that you are odd, maybe you just find it hard to connect with someone. i think that a full on kiss can be very passionate with the right person ( call me sad but a form of sex if you like) and maybe thats why you havent yet kissed a girl properly, because you put alot of importance on it, or maybe you are shy and so feel nervous when you get that close as you are worried about not being good enough. if this is the case then you should let your guard down, be comfortable with who you are and dont worry about doing it, before it happens, just go for it and see the reaction afterwards, if there is no spark then so be it, but maybe there will be from both sides. dont put yourself down about it, people do things at different times that doesnt make you odd. :)
