jm81690 agony auntI'm in pretty much the same boat man.

I'm 17, don't have enough credits or high enough grades for any secondary education, I don't believe in God, and usually whenever I like a girl she loses interest within a week.

I was bummed out about it until a couple months ago, lately though I've decided it's not that big a deal.

1. You arn't going to fail in life because you don't meet other peoples standards, who cares what people think?

Personally I'd rather be thought of as a slacker but have fun with life, than be viewed as hard working, but live a boring and dull life.

2. The whole God bit is something you have to work out for yourself, personally I'll be kind of sour if it turns out there is a God, seeing as to how bogus the 10 commandments are, most people would end up in hell.

3. If you can't get girls to like you at 17, who cares? You'e got plenty of time to work on it.

Check this stuff out, the guy's message is right on.

It goes off track a bit, but the main message is there.

Maybe just a trip to your doctors could raise you out of this gloom. You are young and life will get better, i am living proof.

Take care

A female reader, bqagirl2692 United States +, writes (17 December 2007):

bqagirl2692 agony auntDont assume your going to fail in life just because things dont turn out the way you want them to. As awkard as it may be, thats just the way of life. In life there are many disappointments and mistakes that we must go through and learn from in order to grow and recieve greater good. Your not a failure and there are ways you can get your credits up. Its just going to take a lot of hard work but its nothing impossible. About the girl situation, your still young and you have plenty of time to be in a relationship. You should worry about the important things you need to do first before you question yourself why you arent in a relationship yet. Think of it as, its not the time for you just yet. Love will find you sooner than you think so dont go off and look for it because it will never come that way. When you have patience, everything comes out just the way you wanted it. Stop being so negative towards yourself and think about all the positive things in your life and i know you have some. Your 17. Your too young to stress yourself over nothing. Go out and have fun with your friends. Make new friends. Study as hard as you can and you'll see that everything will come out just fine. A negative attitude brings a negative result. Dont put yourself low. Everything wil be just fine. Good luck!
