reader, anonymous, writes (24 October 2006): I'm really in the same situation to. There seems to be this unspoken understanding that there is something there but we both know it's wrong. Or is it? Society has these rules which it imposes but who is to say that in some instances that relationships like this can work. My father has just died, i need an older man with me right now. David (34) thought he was gay until he meet me, his boyfriend had an affair and i helped him though that. Here i am 16 and I can't cope with life, here he is, 34 and can't cope with life. I always thought these sort age gaps were creepy and just down right wrong but these issues are not 2D. Life and people are complex. This area is gray but society thinks it's black and white. It really isn't. You love him? You need him. Take it. It might save you. David saved me and I don't cut myself any more.
