You should find the rhythm by your own. Laying down or sit mostly depends on the size of his penis, but both work the same. An usual mistakes of men are trying to guide women in movements of up and down, wich is not precisely what you enjoy, try moving your hips in circles. Enjoy discovering.

Once you get comfortable keep it like that for a while, but if one of you starts to get cramp it's time to move to a different position. Experiment to find out what suits you best - that's the fun part - but don't feel you have to be a contortionist with legs going in all directions to get pleasure from intercourse.
Take a tip from a wise old fella - get the central heating turned up, start off in the middle of the bed and chuck the duvet off!
