 Darling, men and women are built differently. It takes a lot longer than 10 minutes for most women to reach the peak of orgasm, so why shouldn't men be able to last longer??? It just means they can enjoy the pleasure of arousal for longer, until they finally can't take any more and explode.
The only way either of you will get bored is if you just lay there with him going in and out for ages.

 There are certain sexual practices that recommend delayed orgasm. With Tantric, you delay orgasm until ejaculation no longer matters for either sex. It gets better and better the longer you wait, until you get an intense pleasure that is truely mind blowing. I'd guess that's why some men delay the pleasure of orgasm.

Yeah some guys have gotten the idea, partly from porn and partly from women mags that longer is better.
Some women don't agree with this. One poster recently said how would you feel if someone poked you that long... kind of an intresting way to look at it. I don't think most men would ever consider it like that.
Most couples have far more realistic sex and basically, if you can keep track of time then it ain't very good.
There is another problem as well, you become insensitive after a while and then intercourse won't even be enough anymore to come, that is why porn stars often finish with a jerk-off. Not just to get the money shot but the woman's various holes just aren't enough anymore. yes, that is the height of a romantic evening that is.
Guys who try to last that long are doing it because they think that is what matters. Blame the media.
