I figured the best way to make the time fly and to make him happy would be to organise something really special when he's gone to surprise him when he gets back! Trouble is, I'm struggling with ideas! I ideally want to do something that will take me a long time to sort so the time flies while he's gone, and also something really really special that is going to bowl him over!!!Any suggestions???Also if anyone has any tips on coping when your loved one is away that would be much appreciated =]Thanks!

reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2013): I have been through the very same thing you are experiencing. My girlfriend finished grad school before I did and went to Europe and I couldn't go because of school.
And she has relatives in Germany and had to see them. I hope your man has at least skyped you. There is no reason for not having meaningful communications when away. You always have to re establish your bond between the two of you and I hope you have done that. there is nothing wrong with being a pest in this kind of situation. Establish a time to call every day or what ever. Tell him how you feel and listen to what he says. Send a picture of yourself on a I phone or what ever. Please no nude images. Tell him you have a surprise when he gets back. If you two are exclusive now and are tight you know what you have to do. If he feels the same way he will reaffirm the same way. Good luck. Save up your energy.
