reader, anonymous, writes (13 February 2009): if all else fails give this a try - first do not do anything once she is anything past buzzed, even if she wants to she might regret it. if you meet her at the door when she gets there give her and everyone she walks in with a hug, you make a move but it doesnt look obvious. if she doesnt pull back and is ok with hugging you offer her a drink, lean in close to talk to her, move right next to the side of her face if it is loud, "you want her to here you". if she doesn not pull back or she turns to face you then she would not object to you making a move. if to many people are around try to get her alone and talk. move close as you talk, play push her, if she pushes you back playfully pull her into a hug and push it off as a joke,when you loosen on the hug make your move. good luck, hope it goes great!

 well if you get her too drunk it'l be 1 step forward that night, an 2 steps back later on, make sure she's in her right mind and knows whats shes doing or itll just get awkward, in fact why dont you drop a few hints before the party like if she'll stay with you and stuff, and if anything you two could end up closer, dont just jump her when you get a hint, respect the lady, goodluk.
