I want to have the 'talk' about getting serious, how do I go about doing this?

A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I've been having this fling with this guy for a while now and I'm at the stage where I want to talk about things, so I sent him a message saying that I wanted to talk and he said that we can.

We saw eachother not long ago at a get together but it didn't feel appropriate to talk about something serious.

Right now, I feel confused if he is taking me seriously and worried that he may have forgotten that I wanted to talk after seeing him and that I'm not worthy of his time.

So I don't know whether or not to either ask him again if we can talk or just send him a message basically summing up whats been on my mind and how I've been feeling or wait til he makes contact but at the moment I doubt that.

Any ideas?

A male reader, Capri2 Argentina +, writes (27 January 2011):

Better sooner than later. You have to talk about this if you feel like this is the time for you. If he isn't for something serious at all right now, he won't be tomorrow. In the other hand, if he is for something serious but he thinks you aren't he may loose interest.
