 Hi, smoking pot is not a good thing as when you are intoxicated by it you really dont know what you are doing. He could end up hurting you and you really dont want to be around a guy like that. With regards to the smoking i dont think that it as serious of a problem, just ask him not to do it infront of you.The drinking,like the pot smoking could also prove to be a problem. Just ask him to quit those to and if he really likes you then he would be willing to do so. Also when he does realize that he wants to quit them, you should be very supportive as that is exactly what he is going to need. Just speak to him and see how much of a compromise he is wiling to make with you.

 These things can only be changed if he is prepared to change them, when you like someone you generally have to accept everything that comes with them ,and if you can't do that then you really don't like them enough to be in a relationship with them.
