If you love someone, you will not want to break up with that one. On the contrary, if that someone chooses to break up, you may cry.
Also, true love makes you a better person and makes you willing to accept his faults.
Likewise, if he truly loves you, he becomes a better person for your sake, and overlook your faults.

reader, anonymous, writes (17 June 2009): When I've broken up it was usually for the best, because things weren't going as good as I had hoped for. Sometimes I feel nothing as well or just bad for the girl since she hoped for more but I don't feel sorry because she didn't get me or how I felt. I've also been on the other end where I felt sad , but that was my fault of being blinded by love.
Anyway I don't think you have a problem :) It's just who you are. So love yourself.
