A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

Hi there, I'm in need of some Help and would really appreciate any suggestions/thoughts. My ex and I split up a year ago but stayed in touch and met up before Christmas and we didn't sleep together but we did hug goodbye and kiss each other on the mouth and he stood hugging me for ages when he was here. He says he hasn't been with anyone else during the last year (he was having some psychological problems). My question is, does it sound like he could still have feelings for me or is it just that he is not ready to date yet?? He hasn't even had sex/one night stand with anyone .. He and I were together for 8 years. I still love him and would like to try again but I'm not sure how to proceed. Thanks for reading my post.

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (17 January 2010):

He might be interested, but then again he might not. He may have been worried that if he said anything, you wouldn't have responded. If you really believe that it could work, and if you believe you truly love him, then say something and see where it leads. I'm not saying it will work out, but it's better that you know once and for all how he feels, rather than never say anything.
