writes:I sent a note to my crush and his debate group wishing them luck. I said he looked funny because he had dressed up. I said I was kidding. Then he crumpled up the note and threw it away like he hated me or something. I supposed he'll be surprised after all we don't speak to each other. I know now he is a jerk. I'm saying this out of spite, and because today was supposed to be one of the best days and he turns it upside down. He doesn't know that i know his reaction. What now?

 You now send another note saying you hope you didn't cause offence as you thought he looked quite handsome dressed up although different from normal, and add but you're not sure if you had worded that note to him properly.

 If you got a note that said "you look funny", no matter what the reason, right before a big tournament, what would you think of the sender? I don't think that he is a jerk. I think that you misspoke yourself and that you owe him an apology.
