writes: This is not a love question but are needing advice.I travel 3 days a week on a train to my job, some times i see the same employee called simon may be twice in 2 weeks i have never spoken to him and he has never spoken to me,the other day i received a private number on my phone and the lady the other end told me that simon did not like me, i dont know where she got my number from and why she phoned to tell me that simon did not like me, should i ask simon if he does not like me and why. I don't quite think we know the whole truth. hOW COME YOU KNW SIMON'S NAME? if you have never spoken to him....i think somebody is telling porkies.

....could be a prank by a jealous work friend even????? but i would not bite and if it happens again laugh ....and remember stirers do exist even when you think they are friends..and maybe you have put your trust in a clse freind who has dobbed you in!!!!! do you like simon????

 wow...im suddenly taken back to the days of passing notes in the back of class, or waiting for a friend to ask a guy if he likes me.
my guess is simon may not know anything about this, may not even feel this way about you. of maybe he likes you really and that was his wife basically putting out the message to back off. who knows really?
why not ask him? say you got this weird call and you just wanna know if he has anything to say to you. i dont understand this to be honest, its very immature and a bit cowardly!
talk to him if its bothering you.

reader, anonymous, writes (6 July 2008): That is a bit bizzare. I have to agree with Kenny, I think you should talk to him about it. Otherwise you'd be left guessing and to be honest I couldn't see that being the end of it.
How they got your number is another matter. Simon has obviously spoken of you or knows of you. I wouldn't worry about whether he likes you or not - you've never spoken to him. Just find out what was behind the call.

 Thats really odd, maybe this collegue, simon has mentioned you and maybe said some nice things about you. It could be that that this lady that called you has got a thing for Simon and was warning you off by saying that he does not like you. Personally i don't think it would hurt to approach him and ask if its true or not, go on to say about the phone call you got as well.
