 If you love him, let him decide. It's his life that would also be affected. Your best friend is a dicey situation which I can't help you with; it is such a touchy situation that you should really decide that for yourself. Either way could work out for the worse. I know i haven't said much here, but good luck nonetheless. Go with how you feel.
