writes:I have fallen in love with my housemate, who has split from her boyfriend who is 24, She is 30, and now living with me after they split and he threw her out of his house, i made the initial mistake of saying how i felt, and now, she has told me they are fuck buddies, and that she is fine with this, even though i know he has slept with at least 3 women since their split in july, and cheated on her at least twice when they were together, which was only four mounths, the problem is i cant turn off my feelings, even though she has told me she thinks "im great just not in that way" now i feel consumed with hate for her ex, love for her, and frustration that she cant see she`s being used like a whore for want of a better word.Please help me im going quite mad now

reader, anonymous, writes (19 November 2007): Well she might like having sex with him with no attachments. And if she doesn't like you in that way then there's nothing you can do. You hate him cause he's not good for her and you know your a better man. Just stay around maybe she will change her mind but as of now I think she's fine with the other guy even if he is a cheater.
