Is this a big deal in Nigeria? Would dating him bring a lot of social stigma? Here in Ireland that wouldn't matter at all really. Ask some of your friends if they think it's a good idea or not. If they give you a good reason not to then maybe consider not, but I personally would go for it of nothing hugely bad will happen because of it but I don't know the culture in Nigeria it may be a big deal there.

 6 months is nothing even at your age.... if the only reason you don't want to date him is he's younger, then I'd not worry about it.
and height is not a reason not to date either.
