A male Canada age 30-35, *olby writes:

I want to start of by saying I know what I did was right BUT I hate the fact that my friends are still making fun of me for it.

A few weeks ago my gf (of a 3 months) and I were at a end of summer party with a bunch of our friends, she was REALLY DRUNK, the most drunk I have ever seen her and we have been friend since elementary school. We were making out and things were gettign pretty intense and I stopped. We havent had sex with each other at this point and I didnt think hat her being that drunk was a right time. After a while she was partically passing out so I took her upstairs to SLEEP IT OFF, I stayed in the room with her but that was it. The next moring a bunch of my friends were asking me how she was sexually, when I told them we didnt have sex that laughed at me saying I wa such a "pussy" for not taking the chance when she was drunk to " do as I pleased" as they put it. I was actually really shocked that so many of them agreed that they woudl have taken advantage of her (or another girl) if they were in the same situation. I'm not a virgin but she is and I cant imagine her first time with me her being so drunk that she couldnt remember it. Since that weekend they all have been on my back non stop calling me a pussy, whimp, and even though I know what I did was the right thing it is driving me crazy for so many reason,

1) how the hell am I a pussy for not raping a drunk girl?

2) why the hell would they want to f*ck a girl that was passed out ?

3) do guys do things like this often? I will knock some guys head off if they ever did something like that to my sister or female friend

4) what would you do if you were at a party and over heard a guy saying he was going to take a drunk. passed out girl upstairs to screw, would you step in and try to stop it from happening.

You are not so rare. You are just part of the quiet majority of men.

You should be very very proud of yourself because you did the right thing. Don't let your friends get to you and just ignore them. You seem very mature and definitely know right from wrong. Your friends are trying to be "tough macho" guys, but hopefully they would do the SAME thing you did in the situation. Your gf is lucky to have such a caring, attentive boyfriend. Take care!

You sir are a rare gentleman and a real man unlike ur so called friends who just seem like wanna be players. You did the right thing and your friends are idiots for treating you like. If i was at a party and I got trashed and somebody took advantage of me my brothers would go on a man hunt and beat the person who took advantage of me to a bloody pulp you did the right and decent thing and if ur friends cant see that then tell to screw off cuz as far as im concerned you are a real man and ur friends are just little boys
