My partner split up after 17 years together. She moved on within a week of the split. I didn't get any closure and I suspect some form of cheating. I just wondered the feelings someone goes through when they have cheated on there partners and if this kind of relationship ever last?

A male reader, Thomas17 Singapore +, writes (5 May 2007):

Thomas17 agony auntim very sorry to hear that.

if it was a lasting relationship, most probably yes. a human's brain dosent exactly forget things. lets say, its stored in a subconcious. you won't notice it. example is like a computer. you have deleted a few files, but you can still recover traces of it by either reformatting or doing what the police do when they are thoroughly checking your comp.(files leave a trace in the hard disk. cant be accessed normally)

so yes, its something like that.

20 years down the road, and you will feel slight feelings as well.

heres the second part. some people(cheaters) dont feel much after breaking up with their partners. their main goal isnt a lasting relationship, but rather one which sucks every single thing from the other partner.

God bless
