A female United States age 30-35, *dttjulie writes:

OK I am going to sound absolutely ridiculous. I just went on a vacation and my waiter and I fell in love. He works every day on the cruise ship and gets only 1-2 months off a year, and when he is off he goes home to northern africa. I can go see him where the ship docks 90 minutes from my house weekly, but my family does not approve. I am a mother of 2, work, college so it is extremely difficult. He calls me a few times a week and we talk through facebook. He tells me he loves me and even asked me to come to his home when he is on vacation which means I will have to take more time off work and find sitters for my kids. The love feels so real and I cannot stop thinking of him. It feels like true love something I have never experienced before. What should I do? I have no idea. I have no one to talk to about this. My mom and sister think I am crazy. The first moment I saw him was like love at first sight. He broke all the rules and risked his job to get to know me better. Calling my room, coming to meet me, holding my hand when no one looks, handing me love letters... He could have lost his job but he did anything possible to get to know me. help help help! I cant stop thinking of him, looking at our pictures together, listening to love songs...

I was expecting a response like this... I should just let it go and if it is real he will come to me, right?

So_Very_Confused agony auntI would caution you about getting involved with someone that works on a cruise ship.

You met him on vacation out of your elememt... you can't really LOVE HIM...

So if he's a waiter... can he be a waiter on land... in your town? will he give up his job for you to make this relationship work?

you are in LIMERENCE... lust, passion... all smoke and mirrors...

"the first moment I saw him was love at first sight"

umm honey.. he's pretty... that's not love...

love is fighting

love is paying bills

love is sitting up with sick kids

love is GIVING UP YOUR HOME OF TEN YEARS and risking losing your job and alienating your entire family and MOVING OUT OF STATE to be with the person you love....

Will he give up his job for you and your relationship?

if not how will you make this work?

how do you know he doesn't flirt like this on every cruise with women? YOU DON'T. You may say that this was a rare thing and he's never done it before but HOW DO YOU KNOW???
