i don't believe this.i split up with my ex about 7 weeks ago.she has things that are mine, one in particular is of sentimental value.my grandad got me this, he passed away 3 yrs ago.it means alot to me. anyway. i have asked for it, text for it, e mailed for it, left fone messages for it.it's a simple case of yes or no.even sent postage and packing for it. also, i have asked for legal advice.i have been told that i am well within my rights.there are 7 points where she could be arrested if i wish this.

i/ we have been given 10 days by my solicitor to cool off. like a curfew.the time ends on fri 19th oct.. the bitch is incredibly stupid/ dumb/ ignorant. at the mo i am suffering with clinical depression and anxiety. what next. i really do not want to go the legal way,(i get legal aid) i just want what is mine.

You put your stuff in this position. Let the legal process run it's course and if you're lucky you'll get your stuff back. Worry wouldn't help at all.

Have you sent a letter? Text etc is ok initially but you need to step up a gear. I would send a carefully thought out, but not threatening, letter which clearly states what you want returning and what your next step will be should you be forced to go down this route. Explain in a heartfelt way too that these items have sentimental (irreplaceable) value and would otherwise be worthless to them. Send it recorded post - that way there can be no claims it was not received. Keep a copy yourself so that if necessary it can be given to your legal representative later. Good luck - I hope they see sense and stop acting in this cold and cruel way.
