A male reader, JazzedUp United States +, writes (14 April 2012):

JazzedUp agony auntThis type of thing, you must be careful in. First, you must prepare yourself for the number one thing that happens to a lot of people who fall in love with their best friend: she only likes you as a friend. This can seem worse than just getting turned down. I know. But you should still tell her all the same. Keeping it inside and not knowing will only lead to decay inside of you. Just be honest, sincere and attentive when you tell her. And bear in mind that she may only see you as a friend. That is a possibility. Hope this helps!
