hi, I can understand your worries.. I'm a doctor- and I actually work with people your age.. Believe me, doctors really have seen everything. Chances are you won't go hard.. but even if you do..to be honest..most doctors are aware that teenage boys may go hard very easily and you can expect them to deal with it very matter of fact and put you at ease. The most important thing is that you get it checked out. Especially if you have been sexually active as it may be that you have an infection that is treatable.

You must have the same doctor as me - legs up to her arse and back down again. My blood pressure always seems a little on the high side when she checks it.

It's really important you go to get this checked out, I don't think you need to worry about getting hard in a doctors, as the anonymous male reader said they've seen it all before and it really is worth being slightly embarrassed than sick with worry. :D

A reader, anonymous, writes (19 June 2008):

you should definatly go see a doctor. if you are afraid that you will get hard think about something that really turns you off (IE, your mom, a hairy groose hobo, or something really funny)!

hope this helped!

My boyfriend says that it's not at all likely to go hard because you'll be very nervous. He's been through the same kind of thing as you. Doctors would be very understanding... You must go and see your doctor!

Don't worry about being embarrassed, or hard, your doctor has seen it all. But it is important that you check that out to make sure nothing is wrong.
