I'll answer nonetheless.
1) Nowadays it's subtle things... the way she smiles, the way she smells, how she carries herself. I'm really into wit, if she can hold her own in a quick-paced conversation I'm good to go. When I was your age it would have been, oh, I don't know... a big pair of breasts or some suggestive sucking of a lollipop.
2) I don't really check out my female friends. Not that they aren't attractive, just that I'm not attracted to them. They're more like sisters. But again at your age, I was checking out anything that moved.
3) Shower frequently, look your best, don't be rude. This covers the basics.
