A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Just want your thoughts on this. I like my friend's brother and I think he feels the same.

He's about 5 years younger, met him a few times at social gatherings and just a bit confused.

Last saw him at friend's bbq and did catch him looking at me a few times. Whenever I passed him he would make a funny comment, and when ever he did speak to me he always included my name. I have an unusual name. At one point he seemed to have followed me into the kitchen and attempted to steal my chair when I wasn't looking but when a chair was free next to me, he stayed away.

The thing I found strange was he kept insisted on getting me some cake even though I told him I was on a diet as I have a sweet tooth. He just shook his head and asked why? Does he think I look ok?

In the end I let him get me some cake.

Now this guy rarely does this kind of thing for anyone but his mum, so was he being attentive for a reason? And one of the other friends did comment on this and asked "what's up with him"

So does he:

a) like me

b) just entertaining himself

c) in some ways just being annoying

I get the feeling he likes me but I'm a little worried because I like him I could be reading too much into things. You know we all do that sometimes!

If you like him, take a chance and talk to him. It would be so much better than speculating. There are signs that he likes you, but they're not enough. You should take a chance and talk to him.
