A age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My girlfriend and I went to this summer fair (I live in Australia) and we started playing this ball game when you knock down milk bottles. I was horrible at it, I couldn't make a shoot so my gf grabbed the last ball and knocked down some. She even got a free game and she won me two stuffed animals. It was so embarrassing.

I didn't like it and said something about her being a show off. Now I haven't talk to her or called in a week. I was so mad I didn't even kiss her goodnight (she expects it). Then she got all upset about it and slammed the car door (I drove her home). I think she was crying a bit but I ignored it. Was I a jerk because I would like to make things right again?

PunkyPippi agony auntYes, you were a jerk. If you get married to a woman who makes more money, are you going to do the same thing?

I understand that guys have a certain image to uphold and all, but so what? She's better at throwing a ball than you. Would you be as upset if she's better at curling hair or cooking??? Do you think she would be mad if you were better than her at those things?

Apologize and tell her you're sorry. Then ask her to teach you how to throw a ball.
