I feel like he is pulling away and he does little to reassure me...any advice??

A female United States age 41-50, *9agegap writes:

Hi, I'm 27 and dating D for 7months now. He's 31. We got together within 2 weeks of knowing each other and so far it's ok, though we have some personality and habit clashes.

Recently I feel as if he's pulling away, and I told him I feel that I am easily replacable and I do not feel as special as initially when we got together. He just said what do I expect him to do, and did not make any effort to make me feel more assured. We've talked about marriage and he's not as keen on marriage as me, though we say we give ourselves 2-3 years before marriage.

Sometimes I feel as if we're running out of topics to say. I don't know if this is a matter of relationship cooling off as it enters a new time frame...or he's simply not assuring me that he loves me as he is unsure himself. Would appreciate any advice.
