reader, anonymous, writes (9 January 2008): i would think since u dont WANT to be gay then u arent, cuz i personally believe its a CHOICE, not in ur genes, theres people who have been gay and turned straight, and theres no way to do that if it was something EMBEDDED in ur dna, u like girls and regardless of what u watch u want to be with girls rather than guys? then youre not gay, simple as that, personally i think u may have just gotten urself a little worked up worrying about it, but not to be mean, i think u should knock off the whole looking at other guys in the shower thing.....many men have been killed doing that

You say that you are afraid that you might be gay and that you don't want to be. But you do look at gay porn and get 'excited' by that. I don't necessarily think you should jump to the conclusion that you could be gay. I am a female and I like to watch lesbian porn; it gets me 'excited'. For whatever reason I would rather look at a naked woman (in porn) than a man. But I am not a lesbian. I cannot ever picture myself with a woman even though I find them attractive and enjoy watching lesbian porn. Perhaps it is the same situation for you. I think one question that you need to think about is whether or not you get just get excited by other men or if you would like to do sexual things with a man. Either way, you are still young and you have plenty of time to figure this out. Good luck to you!

You're young. A lot of people don't know which sex they like for awhile. Sometimes it can be confusing. Don't worry so much about it. You've got awhile to think about this sort of thing. It could be you're bisexual, or gay, or not. Whatever you decide on, you'll be happy. The most important thing is that you eventually find someone you connect with and love and who treats you with respect and love as well, no matter the sex.

The longer you wait to come out of the closet, the worse it is going to be for you & the harder. So I hope you will be completely honest with yourself. If you are gay, accept it, and the people that love you will accept it as well.
