I fear he may leave me for someone younger, should I marry him anyway?

A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I am with a man who is 17 years my senior. This has no so far been a problem for us but as the relationship gets more serious (we are going to get married next year) I keep thinking that he will leave me for a younger woman when I get a little older.

He has ALWAYS dated women who were at least a decade younger apart and I know for a fact that he really likes young looking girls.

What should I do? Hope for the best and marry him anyway or just leave seeing as in about ten years time I will be too old for his tastes?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 August 2009):

Think about it, why is he with you if he likes younger girls. You can't marry some one if there is no trust, but if you love him you will have to trust him, confront him about it, keep no secrets from each other. If you tell him this he will no you will trust him to tell him anything. Maybe its not about looking younger its about being younger, like have more fun and that, like clubbing being young, fun and bubbly. If you get whatt im saying. If he wanted to be with a younger girl why is he with you? If he wanted a younger girl he wouldnt be with you...

Hope I helped...

Good Luck (yn)

No one can tell the future. He may cheat on you in 10 years time.... but then you might run off with the 97 year old milk man when he wins the euro millions.

This guy has said he wants to stand up in front of friends, family, the law, and God (if you are having a church wedding and believe in it) .... and promise you and all of them that he will commit to you till death do you part.

Will it last? Who knows!

But you shouldn't let what could happen stop you from doing something that makes you happy. Otherwise you'd never walk to the shop for fear of being hit by a bus.

Good Luck!! xx
