You don't need to break up with him. Tell him you like him as a friend but not as a bf.

A week and one-half does not require anything special to break up. Just tell him the truth. You don't want to go with him anymore and a reason would be nice to give also, but nothing deep. Just something like you don't feel that the relationship is going to work out. Then move on.
