I don't want any confusion as to what we are expecting out of each other

Question - (30 December 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 January 2011)
A female Australia age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Few days ago, I asked a question about an involvement with someone and whether or not that he likes me or he may be using me as no one knows about whats been going on between us.

After being used in the past and the effect this has had on me, I have decided to possibly tell this guy that although I like him and enjoy spending time with him, if his intentions are to just use me full stop then I would have to stop seeing him.

I don't want to pressure him into making an ultimatum and give the impression that I want a relationship straight away, its just that I don't want there to be confusion in what we want out of eachother.

As mentioned earlier, I do like him and enjoy spending time with him but I think it's too soon for anything serious and want to take things steady.

Is this a reasonable thing to say to him? And am I reasonable to feel this way?

its a reasonable thing for you to think but you don't necessarily have to SAY it to him, unless he asks. your actions and behaviour will show him how you want to proceed and his actions and behaviour will show you. as its early days, just carry on enjoying his company as you are doing now
