Lola1 agony auntI have met a number of confident men who are short. One of my favourites is married to a tall, blonde and sexy woman. I have found that many men who are shorter than most are confident and powerful men. I like those qualities in a man. It makes them sexier than their height... Trust me. ;-)

People think their comments are harmless, and they aren't. You have to learn to laugh about your height. Start compiling a few light-hearted comments that you can store as a retort. Say something like, "What I lack in height I make up for in (insert nickname for your penis here)," or "Short men always have the biggest wallets," or "I always have the best view under women's skirts," for example.

DO NOT allow your insecurity to affect whether you go out or not. One of my favourite sayings is to "Fake it until you make it." Pretend you are completely comfortable with your height, and eventually you will be.

Good luck.

MansonGroupie agony auntHi there,

I understand where you're coming from (from an outsiders perspective).

I'm 5ft 8' and my boyfriend is 5ft 2'. Personally I love him all the more for his height, the best things really do come in smaller packages!!!

He's cute, yet sexy. Shy, yet proud of who he is. Short, yet more of a man than any other bloke I've met!

Honestly, if it bothers you that much, you may benefit from talking to a counsellor about it.

I reckon that you don't need to take such drastic action as you function on a day-to-day basis and seem content with your life.

The people that make jibes about your height either don't understand or are jealous, don't worry about it, Hun.

I'm a convert, shorter guys really are the best :)
