I dont get many girlfriends because im ginger!!!!! unfortunately.i geta lot of slaging at school but im used to it now! my last girlfriend only went out with me because i was class at sport. all my friends tell me im unreal at sports and im funny. i dont have much confidence could anybody give me advice???????

Its not because you are a ginger. Its because you havnt met the right one. Have confidence, be yourself, and you'll meet the right person because they will like you for who you are.

reader, anonymous, writes (2 January 2011): Just to let you know that people can be petty in high school and things. When you leave and get into college or uni or whatever you do, i'm pretty darn sure the girls will be falling over you. Two good things girls love is a guy who's funny and a guy who looks after himself. Girls love guys for the personality. From what i see and since i've left school and see how my class mates have turned out. All the 'nerds' and nice guys all get the gorgeous girls regardless if they are 'hot' or not. All the fit guys have gotten ugly/let themselves go/proved to be jerks. Its ALL personality honestly.

 Kenny is right. It is probably more to do with confidence.
If you get slagged about your hair colour and you really believe that that is purely the reason why you haven't got a girlfriend, then you probably are lacking more confidence than you think, and it probably shows.
Anyway, in Ireland there are quite a few gingers and the ones I know I see their personality, not their hair colour.
So do things and hang out with friends that make you feel good about yourself. I know it sounds corny, but it's true when people say that 'your inner beauty will shine through'.

 I don't think it is the fact that you are ginger that you don't get many girlfriends, but more the lack of confidence. The opposite sex will be more attracted to someone who believes in themselves and are confident. You need to work more on building your confidence up more, so once you have raised you vibrations so to speak, girls will respond to this. You said you are great at sports and are funny, well you have got alot to build on right there. Get out there, mix it up with the opposite sex, have faith and believe in yourself.
