I'm fifteen now and just like any other girl am curious about my body. I have tried fingering myself but don't find it very pleasurable is this normal? Also how deep in is the (cherry)? Will it hurt to break it? Please give some advice, tips, thoughts, knowledge, thanks! (:

A female reader, anonymous, writes (19 April 2011):

The "cherry" is not inside at all, it is the thin membrane of skin that covers the bottom portion to the entrance to your vagina. This usually tears the first time you have sex but can also be torn from vigorous exercise, tampons, fingering and a few other things. Look at diagrams of the vagina to learn the parts.

A reader, anonymous, writes (18 April 2011):

You're not doing it right. While there's nothing to say you shouldn't, can't or that girls don't this, shoving your fingers inside is largely pointless for most girls.

Fingering is not about that, it's about clitoral stimulation for the most part. Experiment with different types of clitoral stimulation until you find what works. You don't need to insert your fingers into your vagina at all. Stay outside and focus on your clitoris for a while until you figure out to orgasm from that, honestly that's far more important because when it comes to dating and being intimate with guys you should know how you like to be touched so you can show them.

By all means experiment though, touch all parts inside and out, see what feels good. In other words find your buttons, just start off on the outside.
