writes:I recently started seeing a woman I met while I was out and about. It has developed in to a sexual relationship and I discovered yesterday that she is my bosses wife! I didn't know she was married let alone my bosses wife! I've called it off but I'm worried that my boss will find out. No doubt I will be fired and possibly worse. I can't afford to lose my job. What do I do?

 Don't tell him!! I doubt she is going to tell her husband she has been sleeping around. He can't exactly fire you either if he does find out, the worst thing he can do is make your job a living nightmare. Also I doubt you want to be responsible for ending their marriage if you did tell him.
Just wait and see what happens, if he does find out, play dumb and pretend you didn't even know she was his wife, which you didn't anyway.

reader, anonymous, writes (4 March 2009): Go talk to your boss about it and tell him as soon as you can. It'll come out sooner or later and it'll be much worse in your position, because it'll seem you intentionally did so.
For the sake of your dignity and job you need to get him before her. There'll be a slim chance he'll believe you but it will be a better thing to do.
Tell him that you just found out that she was his wife and called it off and swear that if you knew thay you would never have done it.

reader, anonymous, writes (4 March 2009): If you get fired an industrial tribunal might be one option, but I doubt they'll want their dirty washing aired in public.
Does she know that her husband is your boss? I'm guessing nothing will happen anyway. She's hardly likely to tell her husband that one of his employees was bonking her unless she's looking for a divorce.
The best thing you can do is keep quiet about it and hope that no-one else in the workplace knows anything about it.
