Later that evening, I asked a male friend to give me a lift home. To make it short, this guy dated a friend for over one year, and are no longer dating, but I know my friend still cares for him. Eventhough your mate wasn't going out with this guy whilst you did you stuff with him you knew that she still had feelings for him. No wonder you have lost her as a mate. You should have thought twice before going there. It seems that it's going to take more than a few weeks before she trusts you again. As for your mate's ex using you you can't do anything about that now so leave it, and make sure that you never go there again. As for your regret do you only regret it because he didn't want to be with you? If so then you aren't being a good friend. Or is it because you lost a friend? If that's the case then sorry but you should've known that that would've happened.P.S. Sorry for being harsh, it's just that i wanted to be truthful about the situation.
