Is there anyone out there who has been in same situation, council house in both names he won't move so I need to know how to go about finding a private house and how I'm meant to afford it, I'm desperate and don't know where to start. Well if it's a council house and you tell them the situation then they will probably be able to help you and sort out a new house for you.
There are hundreds of domestic violence helplines and organisations.
Get onto google and give them a ring in the morning, plus ring your housing office and they will be able to help you.
