he sounds like he knows what he's doing .... im thinking .. he KNOWS U LIKE HIM and he's playing on it. If i were you not giving him the attention is gonna kill his ego , i know this is hard but playing hard to get really does work.
you need to not respond to him as much cuz he is loving it .. why is he telling u he likes another girl? what a dickhead , trust me he's done that cuz he is a total shithead and wants u to pine for him cuz his ego is big!! that is not a nice boy to me! and lets face it we dont need 'friends' like this ... my advice is ignore him for a few weeks and see if he misses ur attention and then seize the moment!

 Well maybe the girl he was describing was you but he is in the same situation as you and is scared that you wont like him. Have you showed him in any way how you feel about him?
Maybe when you are on MSN sometime you should just let it slip a little and see how he responds. Tell him that you really like this guy, but you are worried that he wont like you back, and see how he reacts... if it is positive, go a little deeper, describe the guy, like he did with you, and if you feel confident enough, ask him what he would do if you liked him. If he gives you a good answer, then you can take it from there, if it is negative (which I very much doubt) then you can wriggle your way out of it.
