Girls like guys with confidence. Come up to her and smile. Make small talk, and COMPLIMENT them confidently. That should get their attention!

If it really goes well, give her your phone number, say something like maybe we can get together and go to a movie...

reader, anonymous, writes (16 November 2008): there are loads of things to talk about, just smile and talk about her and if you have the confidence compliment her loads too. I have the same problem so im not sure exactly what you should say but im guessing that maybe you should address the root cause of the problem, what i mean is that if girls are the only people you find you have nothing to say to then you are probs nervous.
i suppose you should just remember, they proberbly feel the same way its just they dont show it.
show intrest in them, and dont pretend to be intrested. Really get too know them.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 November 2008): don't put too much pressure on yourself..act confident in who you are and be funny! funny and easy going always works. when you are in a situation think to yourself "why am i scared of these people", they are just like me! everyone likes to talk and be friendly and you should appoach it just like that.
