hey guys and girls i am 16 years old and like every other guy my age, i am a lil.... how do u say?... freakin out!!! ok here's the deal i am so confused about my sexual orientation.... it started when i started wanting guys when i was 13 then when i finally accepted it in the age of 15 after going into a war with religious concepts and believes and a lot of research and even got a bf that loves me so darn much i start thinkin about girls... i would find some images of girls sexy but in general when i look at one i just feel nothin down there even if she was burning hot....

i just feel more honest with my gay and bi friends more then ever and i am so glad i am accepted by them but then out of the blue comes the idea of a women but that doesn't happen unless i was horny(well pardon the language)and my interest in men is fading somehow...well not exactly fading but not switched on i get so hot over gay porn movies but i guess i havn't talked to my bf in some time... look long story's short i dunno if i am bi or gay and every time i think i am bi i get scared and start to lach on again with my gay side....ugh but i don't like girls ...much.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh i am freakin out somebody knock some sense into me!!!!

AvgGuy1 agony auntDon't worry kiddo. It happens to EVERYONE. Most of it's hormones. Gay, Straight, Bi, whatever. We find someone attractive - either physically, emotionally, or both and we develop crushes &/or fall in love with the person. I'm gay but I was totally in love (emotionally) with a girl when I was in high school ('bout your age). Then I moved to college and was surrounded by guys, mostly, and I started crushing on guys and then lusting after them. Once I was out of school, and out of the really small town that I grew up in... I started actually meeting guys and dating them.

You might go this route or something similar in either direction (gay, bi/straight). It's natural, just chill out and go with the flow.

A female reader, followtheblackrabbit Cayman Islands +, writes (8 October 2010):

followtheblackrabbit agony auntTake a deep breath and relax! You're sixteen, you don't need to put a label on yourself right now. Ok, you can find women attractive but if you don't have that urge to make love to them-it could be that you're gay. Looking at a woman and getting hard doesn't mean much, sorry to say this but at 16, your hormones are going nuts and you can get erections for no reason that makes sense to you. For right now, just go with the flow. Don't stress yourself trying to find out what you "are." Relax. At this point of life, everyone's confused about what they want, where they want to be and who they want to be. You're no different! Don't let your feelings scare you. Just think about them and try to figure out why you're having them. In time, you'll find what out you're asking. Talk to a counselor. Youth-guard.org is amazing and you can talk to other people just as confused. Hope this helped and good luck!
