A male age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hi, I'm 22 years old and she's 20.

We're both taking a Chef course. Ever since the first day I saw her I fell in love with her. And I never truly felt this way before.

Earlier this year I tried approaching her, we talked for a bit and then she mentioned she had a boyfriend. Her boyfriend lives in her hometown and she wants to go back there soon (she doesn't like it here - where I'm from). From then on I stopped flirting with her.

Around this time however something happened, one day while in class (she was standing right beside me) and she rested her head on my shoulder, I then placed my head on top of her's (in the same fashion) and this lasted for a second of two, she regained her posture and acted like nothing had happened. I don't know how to interpret this because she's not a "touchy" person, e.g. she's always physically distant with the other guys in class.

Now she's been acting moody, she says she had a fight with her boyfriend but the thing is (not so long ago) she was letting us all know that she was engaged!

So yeah, I don't know what's the deal here. Do you think she's interested in me or not. Should I ask her about her feelings for me? Thanks for caring, by the way :)

A female reader, superrrshawna United States +, writes (11 September 2008):

superrrshawna agony aunti would just keep going on in the same fashion that you are. be a good friend to her, keep her close, but don't cross the line. don't ask about her feelings. she needs to figure things out on her own. she very likely might have feelings for you, but don't go after her just yet since she still needs to break up with her boyfriend and have a little rest-from-relationships break in there before starting anything healthy with you.

good luck!
